AI training

See how the AI plays your hand

Play heads-up no-limit hold’em against the CardPilot AI, 200 big blinds deep. At every decision you can see:

  • The AI’s strategy: how often the AI would check, call, fold or bet each size if it held your hand.
  • The opponent’s range: the hands your opponent can hold. The opponent is the AI, so its range is worked out exactly from its own strategy and shown as a 13×13 heat map.
  • Your equity: your hand’s chance against that range.
  • A plain-language explanation: why the AI chooses what it does — made hands and draws, equity against the price, the range’s make-up, bet size, position and stack depth.
Example: flop K♣ 9♥ 4♦, you hold A♠ K♦ (top pair, top kicker); the AI’s strategy
Bet 1/3 pot58%
Bet 3/4 pot30%
Check12%
Their range holds many weaker kings and draws, so the AI mostly bets small for value.

You can also decide first and see the AI’s recommendation and reasons afterwards. Training is free, unlimited and never ranked. The first start downloads the AI model; after that the AI plays right in your browser.

Ranked matches and the leaderboard

Go head-to-head with the CardPilot AI

  • Heads-up, 200 big blinds deep, against the same CardPilot AI, with no hints.
  • The server shuffles with a secure random number generator and deals, and the AI plays on the server. Until a hand ends your browser never receives the AI’s cards or cards not yet dealt, so results cannot be faked.
  • Weekly and monthly leaderboards rank players by luck-adjusted bb/100: hands that go all-in before the river settle at your equity at that moment, so lucky run-outs do not move you up.
  • At least 100 hands a week or 300 a month to be ranked. Rankings reset every Monday and on the 1st of each month at 08:00 Taiwan time (00:00 UTC).
  • Up to 1,000 hands per player per day (resets at 08:00 Taiwan time), with a monthly limit too; training has no limit.

Private tables with home-game rules

  • Open a private table for 2 to 9 players and send the room code or invite link; add a room password if you like.
  • Set the blinds, ante, buy-in range and action timer, plus home-game rules: straddles, bomb pots, a 7-2 bounty and rebuys.
  • Run it twice (or three times) on an all-in. Once betting is closed and the hands are face up, every seat shows its chance to win, updated street by street.
  • Every hand is saved and can be replayed step by step.

How strong is the CardPilot AI?

+11.5 ± 7.7 bb/100

That is the CardPilot AI’s result against Slumbot over 100,000 hands of heads-up no-limit hold’em, both players 200 big blinds deep. Training and ranked matches use this same AI.

What is Slumbot?
A well-known heads-up no-limit hold’em bot that anyone can play online, often used as a benchmark for poker AI.
What does bb/100 mean?
Big blinds won per 100 hands, on average. +11.5 bb/100 means winning 11.5 big blinds for every 100 hands played.
What does ± 7.7 mean?
Poker has a lot of luck, so even 100,000 hands leave some uncertainty. ± 7.7 is an approximate 95% confidence interval: the true win rate is very likely between +3.8 and +19.2 bb/100. The whole interval is above zero, so the AI beat Slumbot; exactly by how much is uncertain within that range.
What the result does and does not say
It measures heads-up play 200 big blinds deep, the format of training and ranked matches. It says nothing about full-ring games, and it does not mean the AI never loses: over a few hundred hands, luck still decides most results.

Frequently asked questions

Does CardPilot cost anything?

No. AI training, ranked matches and private tables are all free. Everything is played with play chips: they have no cash value and cannot be bought or exchanged for money or prizes, and CardPilot does not allow real-money gambling.

Do I need an account?

No. Enter a name to start as a guest. If you later sign up or sign in with email or Google from that guest session, your training and match hands and your leaderboard results come with you.

What is the difference between AI training and ranked matches?

AI training shows the AI’s strategy, the opponent’s range, your equity and a plain-language explanation; it is unlimited, never ranked, and the AI plays in your browser. Ranked matches have no hints: the server deals and the AI plays on the server, every hand counts toward the weekly and monthly leaderboards, and you can play up to 1,000 hands a day.

Why can’t ranked results be faked?

The server shuffles and deals with a secure random number generator, the AI plays on the server, and the server checks every action you take. Until a hand ends, your browser never receives the AI’s cards or cards not yet dealt, and the server records and scores every finished hand.

What is luck-adjusted bb/100?

bb/100 is how many big blinds you win on average per 100 hands. The luck-adjusted version settles hands that go all-in before the river at your equity when the money went in, instead of by the cards that came, so pots won on lucky run-outs do not move you up.

How strong is the CardPilot AI?

Over 100,000 hands of heads-up no-limit hold’em (200 bb deep), it beat Slumbot, a well-known poker bot, by +11.5 ± 7.7 bb/100. The approximate 95% confidence interval is +3.8 to +19.2 bb/100, entirely above zero.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Open a private table for 2 to 9 players and send the room code or invite link. You can set the blinds, ante, buy-ins and action timer, add home-game rules such as straddles, bomb pots and a 7-2 bounty, and run it twice; after an all-in, every seat shows its chance to win.

Do I need to download an app? Can I play on my phone?

No download is needed. Open cardpilot.win in the browser on a computer or phone; the site is in Traditional Chinese and English. The first AI training session downloads the AI model, and after that the AI plays on your device.
